Arkade Developers, a Mumbai-based real estate company, had a notable entry into the stock market on September 24, 2024. The company’s shares debuted at ₹175 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), reflecting a significant premium of 36.72% over its initial public offering (IPO) price of ₹128. On the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the shares opened slightly higher at ₹175.90, marking a 37.42% premium.
The IPO, which ran from September 16 to September 19, was well-received, with total subscriptions exceeding 100 times, highlighting strong investor interest. Specifically, the retail portion was subscribed 53.78 times, while qualified institutional buyers (QIBs) showed even greater enthusiasm, subscribing 172.60 times.
Despite the strong opening, some analysts noted that the listing fell short of initial expectations, as the grey market had indicated potential gains of up to 50%.
Arkade Developers aimed to raise approximately ₹410 crore through the IPO, using the proceeds for ongoing projects and future land acquisitions.
