Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya urged Indian Paralympians to continue striving for excellence after their success at the Paris 2024 Paralympics. During a felicitation ceremony for the athletes, Mandaviya emphasized that their victories not only bring pride to themselves but also to their coaches, families, and the entire nation. He highlighted that the government will continue to provide international-level training and support, helping athletes aim for more gold medals in future competitions.
Mandaviya encouraged the para-athletes to contribute to the nation’s vision of a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India) by 2047. He praised gold medalist Avani Lekhara and other medal winners, acknowledging their hard work and the inspiration they bring to the country. The Indian team has secured a remarkable 27 medals so far, building on their previous successes.
This celebration marks the government’s commitment to enhancing sports infrastructure and ensuring a bright future for India’s athletes.
