Ganesh Chaturthi 2024 will be celebrated from September 7 to September 17. This festival marks the birth of Lord Ganesha and is observed with great enthusiasm, particularly in Maharashtra, Gujarat, and other parts of India. During this time, people install idols of Lord Ganesha in their homes and temples, performing various religious ceremonies.
1. Auspicious Puja Timing
The best time for Ganesh Chaturthi Puja is on September 7, from 11:03 AM to 1:34 PM. The Chaturthi Tithi begins on September 6 at 3:01 PM and ends on September 7 at 5:37 PM.
2. Puja Rituals
Before starting the puja, devotees clean and decorate their homes. The idol of Lord Ganesha is installed, and the “Pran Pratishtha” (invoking life in the idol) is performed. The idol is then bathed with “Panchamrit” (a mixture of milk, curd, honey, ghee, and sugar), and new clothes are offered. The sixteen-step ritual known as “Shodashopachara” is performed, offering flowers, sweets, incense, and light to the deity.
Prasad, including modaks and laddoos, is distributed after the puja. The festival ends with the immersion of Lord Ganesha’s idol in water on September 17.

Ganesh Chaturthi 2024 का पर्व 7 सितंबर से 17 सितंबर तक मनाया जाएगा। यह त्यौहार भगवान गणेश के जन्म का प्रतीक है और इसे विशेष रूप से महाराष्ट्र, गुजरात, और अन्य राज्यों में बड़े धूमधाम से मनाया जाता है। इस दिन लोग अपने घरों और मंदिरों में गणेश जी की मूर्ति स्थापित करते हैं और विभिन्न धार्मिक अनुष्ठान करते हैं।
1. पूजा का शुभ मुहूर्त:
गणेश चतुर्थी की पूजा का शुभ समय 7 सितंबर को सुबह 11:03 बजे से दोपहर 1:34 बजे तक रहेगा। चतुर्थी तिथि 6 सितंबर को दोपहर 3:01 बजे शुरू होगी और 7 सितंबर को शाम 5:37 बजे समाप्त होगी।
2. पूजा विधि
पूजा से पहले घर की सफाई और सजावट की जाती है। फिर गणेश जी की मूर्ति स्थापित की जाती है और उनकी प्राण प्रतिष्ठा (मूर्ति में प्राण डालना) की जाती है। इसके बाद “पंचामृत” स्नान कराकर भगवान को नए वस्त्र अर्पित किए जाते हैं। शोडशोपचार पूजा में भगवान गणेश को 16 अलग-अलग प्रकार से पूजते हैं, जिनमें फूल, मिठाइयाँ, धूप-दीप अर्पित करना शामिल होता है।
पूजा के बाद प्रसाद में मोदक और लड्डू बांटे जाते हैं। विसर्जन 17 सितंबर को धूमधाम से किया जाएगा, जब भगवान गणेश की मूर्ति को जल में विसर्जित किया जाएगा।
