The visit of Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, to India on September 9-10, 2024, is significant for both nations. It marks his first official visit to India, reinforcing the deep ties between the two countries. India and the UAE have long shared close political, economic, and cultural connections. In recent years, these ties have expanded under a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, covering sectors such as trade, energy, technology, and education.
During this visit, Crown Prince Al Nahyan and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi are expected to discuss key areas of cooperation, including the global economy, regional security, and emerging technologies. With the UAE being one of India’s top trading partners, with bilateral trade reaching $85 billion in 2022-23, the visit is poised to enhance economic collaboration. The UAE is also a significant investor in India, which makes this visit important for boosting foreign direct investment (FDI).
Furthermore, the Crown Prince will meet with Indian President Droupadi Murmu and attend various diplomatic engagements, symbolizing the importance of India-UAE relations on both bilateral and global stages.
