Shares of Vedanta Limited increased by 2.55%, reaching approximately ₹422 during recent trading sessions. This surge coincided with a strong performance by the Nifty index, which also saw gains. The positive movement in Vedanta’s stock follows the announcement of impressive financial results for the first quarter of FY2024-25, where the company reported a 54% year-on-year increase in net profit, totaling ₹5,095 crore. This was a significant rise from ₹3,308 crore reported in the same period last year, with sequential profits climbing by 124%.
The company attributed its robust performance to effective cost management and favorable market conditions in its key sectors, particularly aluminium and zinc. Revenue from operations also grew by 6%, indicating a strong overall performance.

कंपनी ने अपने मजबूत प्रदर्शन का श्रेय प्रभावी लागत प्रबंधन और उसके मुख्य क्षेत्रों, विशेष रूप से एल्युमिनियम और जस्ता में अनुकूल बाजार स्थितियों को दिया। संचालन से आय में भी 6% की वृद्धि हुई, जो कुल मिलाकर एक मजबूत प्रदर्शन को दर्शाता है।
