NASA is making critical arrangements for the safe return of astronaut Sunita Williams from the International Space Station (ISS). Originally scheduled for a Boeing Starliner return, technical issues like thruster failures and helium leaks delayed her journey home. NASA and Boeing are conducting additional assessments, but these delays have prompted NASA to consider switching to SpaceX’s Crew Dragon for a more reliable return option.
The decision is expected soon, with NASA emphasizing the importance of thorough checks before making any move. Williams, who has been on the ISS since June 2024, continues her work aboard the station while the final plans for her return are solidified.
