His music, especially focused on Lord Ram and Hindutva themes, was widely seen as supporting the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its stance on the Ram Temple.
However, Mittal has now decided to shift his political affiliations. Dissatisfied with the BJP, particularly due to not being offered a ticket for the upcoming Haryana elections, Mittal has chosen to join the Congress. In interviews, he has clarified that his songs were not exclusively for the BJP but in support of spiritual values, which he believes are also present within the Congress party.
