On the other hand, the BJP, dominant in Jammu, is expected to win between 20 and 32 seats. Smaller parties like the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and independents could play kingmakers, potentially holding the balance of power in this tight race.
With 46 seats needed for a majority, the stage is set for post-election negotiations, and a hung assembly seems possible if no party wins outright.
