Hwang Dong-hyuk, the creator of Netflix’s hit series Squid Game, has shared his thoughts on the emotional deaths of some characters. Despite the emotional farewells, he expressed satisfaction, citing the challenge of managing such a large cast.
Initially conceived as a film 15 years ago, the story evolved into a global hit series on Netflix over time. The second season of Squid Game is set to release on Thursday, featuring new young characters. This season aims to spotlight societal issues like debt, cryptocurrency, and gambling addiction.
Hwang revealed that he has already completed filming for the third season, which he promises will be even better than the second. He also expressed his desire to work with Hollywood star Jake Gyllenhaal.
In addition, Hwang is working on a new feature film set in a dark future. He emphasized the importance of patience in creativity, stating that ideas may succeed later or inspire entirely new projects.
