Thousands of farmers, led by the Bhartiya Kisan Parishad (BKP), broke through police barricades in Noida and began their march towards Delhi today, December 2, 2024. Their demands center around compensation and benefits under new agricultural laws. Sukhbir Khalifa, a BKP leader, declared that they would intensify protests until their voices are heard.
The Delhi police have implemented traffic diversions and heightened security at borders to manage the disruption. Freight vehicles have been barred from key routes like the Yamuna Expressway and Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. Commuters are advised to use metro services or alternative routes to avoid congestion.
Meanwhile, other groups like the Samyukt Kisan Morcha are preparing similar marches from December 6, focusing on demands such as a guaranteed Minimum Support Price (MSP) for crops. The protests, drawing widespread attention, highlight lingering tensions over unresolved agricultural reforms.

इस बीच, संयुक्त किसान मोर्चा जैसे अन्य समूह 6 दिसंबर से इसी तरह के मार्च की तैयारी कर रहे हैं। उनकी प्रमुख मांगों में फसलों के लिए न्यूनतम समर्थन मूल्य (एमएसपी) की गारंटी शामिल है। यह विरोध प्रदर्शन कृषि सुधारों पर अनसुलझे विवादों को उजागर करता है।
