Violence broke out in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh, following the death of a 22-year-old man during a Durga idol immersion procession. Tensions flared after Ram Gopal Mishra was shot during a dispute over loud music played by the procession, resulting in his death at a local hospital. Several others were injured in the ensuing stone pelting and firing.
Angry crowds responded by setting fire to shops and even a hospital. The police have detained around 30 individuals, and the Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath, condemned the incident, assuring strict action against those involved. To restore peace, additional police forces were deployed, and religious organizations were engaged to complete the immersion rituals peacefully. Efforts to identify the culprits using CCTV footage are ongoing.

इस हिंसा में कई अन्य लोग भी घायल हुए। पुलिस ने 30 से अधिक लोगों को हिरासत में लिया है। मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ ने घटना की निंदा करते हुए दोषियों के खिलाफ कड़ी कार्रवाई के निर्देश दिए हैं। इलाके में शांति बहाल करने के लिए अतिरिक्त पुलिस बल तैनात किया गया है, और सीसीटीवी फुटेज के जरिए दोषियों की पहचान की जा रही है
