Adani Green Energy shares fell over 8% early in the session, while Adani Enterprises and Adani Ports also saw declines, though some recovery occurred later in the trading day. The Adani Group stated that it has not received any official notice regarding the allegations and denied any links to the entities under scrutiny.
The investigation forms part of broader concerns about corporate governance within the group, which previously faced scrutiny following a report by Hindenburg Research in early 2023. Investors remain cautious as further clarity is awaited from the ongoing U.S. inquiry.
