Mike Jeffries, the former CEO of Abercrombie & Fitch, has been arrested following explosive allegations of running a sex-trafficking operation. Jeffries, along with his partner Matthew Smith, is accused of exploiting young men under the guise of offering modeling opportunities. The men were allegedly lured to lavish events where they were coerced into sexual activities. These incidents took place between 2009 and 2015, with claims surfacing that a middleman, James Jacobson, was involved in sexually “auditioning” these men before they met Jeffries and Smith.
Jeffries’ once-glamorous brand is now associated with these disturbing allegations, and Abercrombie & Fitch expressed disgust, distancing itself from its former CEO.
